Reflecting on the book launch

As I write this, I’m headed to Paris for Reveal’s annual kickoff and to launch Nearbound and the Rise of the Who Economy.

I don’t know if it’s flying over the Atlantic or the anticipation of the book launch but I can’t help reminiscing on the journey.

Isaac and I officially launched PartnerHacker in April of 2022, and less than a year later we joined forces with Reveal to rebrand as nearbound.com.

Fast forward another year and now we’re launching the book that I truly believe will be a catalyst to the way we go to market forever. The moment I’ve spoken of for the past several years is here.

How’d we get here? The answer is, not alone. We stand on the shoulders of giants.

No matter how busy I’ve been going to market, I’ve always made an effort to live-in-market.

The market is where the people are: customers, partners, allies & peers. The ones you can help. The ones who can help you.

I couldn’t begin to count the number of 1-1 calls I’ve held or the podcasts, audiobooks, posts, articles, and books I’ve read or listened to.

What I can tell you is that no matter what was happening in my world, I was able to find the next sentence and piece together the next paragraph by remembering WHO.

WHO I learned from, WHO I trusted, WHO had been to the promised land or was sharing in a struggle I was facing. WHO, truly, is my guiding light.

I’m sure it’s not possible to count all the people who have influenced me on this journey to finishing the book, but I can count the people and companies that were mentioned. 105 people and 110 companies.

My one hope for this book is that it will be as helpful for you and your goals as everyone mentioned here was for me.
